[Technical Tips] How to install CentOS 9 on EB-58N

This guide walks through how to install CentOS Stream 9 on the EB-58, including prerequisites, system limitations, and a full installation procedure. Any limitations or prerequisites (UEFI/BIOS quirks, storage size, CPU capabilities, etc.).

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

  • Downloading the CentOS Stream 9 ISOCentOS download
    1. Visit the official CentOS download page
    2. Choose CentOS Stream 9
    3. Select DVD ISO

  • Creating a Bootable USB (Using Fedora)
    1. Download Fedora.
    2. Insert your USB flash drive.
    3. Open Fedora and choose .iso file and your USB to creating a bootable USB.

Configuring the EB-58 BIOS

Power on the EB-58 and press Del, Esc, or F2 to enter BIOS.
Check and adjust these settings:

Choose Legacy or UEFI depending on model support.

Enable “USB Boot” or “USB Storage Boot” and enter the boot menu (usually F7, Esc, or F11, depending on BIOS), select the USB drive to boot

Ensure SATA controller is enabled if installing to SSD
Save and exit the BIOS.
