ICOP aims to continue its support for Windows CE in Microsoft’s latest update, Windows Embedded Compact 2013

2014-12-11

Windows Compact Embedded (WinCE) has been a workhorse in the embedded industry for many years. WinCE is a real-time, small footprint OS that one can customize to meet the requirements of one’s device. It is a reliable choice for many systems without having the need for a lot of memory and/or CPU speed. With its latest update, Windows Embedded Compact 2013 now support both Visual Studio 2013 and Visual Studio 2012.

As a leading chip manufacturer, ICOP is committed to stay in step with each update and advance in the field. Traditionally, ICOP’s DX, MX (+), and DX2 chips have long supported the different enumerations of Windows (including WinCE), Linux and DOS systems. Currently, these standard chips are undergoing ICOP’s evaluation to ensure continued support for this newest version of Windows Compact (2013).

If you depend on the WinCE OS, the 2013 edition in particular, to run your applications, you can be sure that ICOP will work to ensure that compatibility is the last thing you have to worry about.
