[Technical tips] EBOX Mini PC Linux Debian 11 Installation

We would like to show how to use EBOX to install the Debian 11.
Debian 11 installation is workable on EB-58, EB-336x, DIN PC-336x and 335xDX3 Series.

Preparation:

• Windows PC x 1 pcs (Windows 10 or higher)
• USB drive x 1 pcs (1GB at least)
• EBOX Mini PC x 1 pc
• EBOX Mini PC x 1 pcs
• Download 32-bit Image Debian-11.4.0-i386-netinst.iso for EBOX Vortex86DX3 Series
  (Download from https://get.debian.org/images/archive/11.4.0/i386/iso-cd/)
• Tool Rufus
  (Download from https://rufus.ie/en/)

Use tool Rufus to create Debian 11 installer

A. Execute Rufus

B. Select Boot selection as corresponding debian-11.4.0-netinst.iso Image

C. Click START

D. ISOHybrid image detected select Write in ISO Image mode and click OK

E. A Warning message appear, click OK to continue with this operation

F. Remove USB drive after Debian 11 installer created

Debian 11 installation

Boot up EBOX with Debian 11 installer(USB) and connect to internet

A. Select Graphical install ➔ B. Select a language ➔ C. Select your location

D. Set Debian as Hostname ➔ E. Skip Domain name ➔ F. Skip Root password

G. Set up user name ➔ H. Set up password ➔ I. Select your time zone

J. Select Guide – use entire disk ➔ K. Select the storage to install ➔ L. Select All files in one partition

M. Select Finish partitioning and write changes to disk and click Continue ➔ N. Select Yes and click Continue to install GURB boot loader

O. Choose United States and continue ➔ P. Choose No Participate in the package usage survey

Q. Remove all checks and choose Xfce to install ➔ R. Select Yes to install GURB boot loader ➔ S. Select the storage for boot loader

Debian 11 installation completed!
