ICOP’s SOM304D3 is an ideal small computer module to reduce cabling and improve vibration/shock resistance between CPU module and carrier boards which can be designed and made by customers or from ICOP’s OEM/ODM service.
Based on DMP Vortex86DX3 1GHz SoC, SOM304D3 is available in single and dual-core versions with 1 or 2GB DDR3 RAM. The SOM module can operate in environment from -20℃ to +70℃(single core) which is very suitable for space-constrained industrial applications with balanced performance.
With size of 70x 70 x 10.5mm, SOM304D3 not only offers features of SATA, USB, PCIe, LAN, ADC, ISA, LCD, VGA, Audio, Keyboard, and Mouse, but also provides additional 10 x I/O ports (80 pins) for customers’ definition such as GPIO, RS232, RS485, IDE, SPI, I2C, PWM SD, and Printer. It could save time and cost in customers’ carrier board design.
The SOM304DX3 uses four sets of 76-pin (2 x 38 = 76 pins) connectors (A, B, C, and D connectors shown above) to form totally 304 signal pins. It includes single-function pins such as VCC, GND, VGA LCD, ISA, SATA, LAN, PCIe, and USB; the multi-function pins are also called GPXX. GP stands for General Purpose, includes GPIO, COM, HD audio, full-duplex SPI, SPI, I2C, PWM, IDE, SD, parallel port and WDT functions.
Each GP port includes two to four different features as shown below.
